The Farm

The community farms a 585-acre property which includes Highland and other cattle, sheep and a large variety of other animals.  The farm backs on to the Rimutaka  Forest Nature Reserve and provides a range of walks in the most beautiful, peaceful setting.

Many people, especially farmers have asked us what the purpose is of having all these various pets. For us the answer is simple: together they create community, they are a joy to visitors and a very loving presence on the farm.

There is always plenty of work to be done on the farm, and guests are always welcome, even encourgaged to help out!
